What We Do
Our support group meets once a month (see “Meetings” section below for details) to come together as a community and discuss the issues and joys we face as parents and caregivers of those with autism, as well as to learn valuable information about services/ resources, community opportunities and approaches to balancing life in an autism family from professional speakers and other community members. Within the group we support each other in our autism journeys, listen to each others’ good news and helpful suggestions, as well vent our frustrations and seek guidance. This year we will also be offering a once-monthly Family Fun Night hosted by The Arc of Freeborn County in Albert Lea. Families can enjoy an evening of fun activities and togetherness in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
